Material Introduction

Lightweight Mullite Furnace Linings are composed of synthetic mullite (3Al₂O₃·2SiO₂) micro-porous refractory materials shaped through precision molds and calcined above 1500°C.

Compared with traditional dense refractory brick linings that suffer from huge heat storage and slow temperature ramps, lightweight mullite chambers have low thermal inertia. They help shorten furnace ramp-up time and reduce electricity use, and are well suited as lining for energy-efficient industrial furnaces.

Product Features

  • High Energy Efficiency & Ultra-Low Heat Storage: Low bulk density and minimal heat capacity shorten cycle times.
  • High-Temperature Durability: Resists continuous service up to 1650°C without shrinkage or powdering.
  • Outstanding Thermal Shock Resistance: Tolerates repeated furnace door openings and rapid cooling cycles.
  • Uniform Chamber Temperature: Balanced thermal reflection ensures homogeneous heat distribution for higher batch yield.
  • Customizable Perforation & Geometry: Tailored openings for heating elements, viewports, thermocouple ports, and exhausts.
